Been down on the marsh last week doing some fall season redfishing. Had some high winds to contend with while on the push pole, but still found some happy fish.
The highlight of last week, however came in one of the ponds we were working while trying to hide from the strong winds. We were finding some smaller reds hugging the bank, but kept scanning the other side of the boat in some deeper water for any activity going on. We had a short shot on a big drum that, well, acted like a big drum (dumb, deaf, and blind). But then we saw a pair of tails working together and the lead fish pounced on the fly at first chance. Bottomed out the #30 boga, caught on an 8 wt!
